Post-Gamejam Update!

Hello!

First of all, thanks to everyone who rated and played this game! It was and still is really appreciated :]! I hope y'all had a great jam!!

I also want to give out a huge thank you to whoever played my game outside of the gamejam, I was not expecting that and it was great to see!

Now, for the update; There are some additions that are bigger than others! So to get those out of the way:

Custom Keybind Support has been added!

Due to how the input system works, I am not sure on whether the keys in the menus are gonna show in display like whatever keyboard keys/layout you may have, but they should all still work by physical position of the keys even if the display and icon is wrong. (Sorry for the inconvinience.)

With this, a new Settings menu has also been added! You can modify volume and sensitivity in here too.

Setting Showcase

Not only that, there are now 3 difficulties in which you can play! Those being:

  • Sweet (Easy difficulty)
  • Mild (Medium difficulty)
  • Spicy (Hard difficulty; Gamejam difficulty)

The only thing that has been changed for the spicy difficulty from the original gamejam entry, (and in every difficulty), is my horrible design decision to make 2 clients be able to order burnt food. This has now been removed.

For the smaller things, here is a list for whoever wants to read the changelog!

  • Tweaks:
    • As said before, the chance for certain clients to order burnt food has been removed.
    • There is now a marker when building that points out where clients begin appearing from.
    • Added a little animation to the arrow in the main menu.
    • Changed how interaction with the main menu works, it now can be used with the mouse and whatever keys you have in the "interact" keybind.
    • Added UI hovering to the menus when cooking.
  • Bug Fixes:
    • Fixed an NPC having the image of another NPC as their set aspect.
    • Fixed the transition between the building and cooking sections never appearing. (Yes, there was a transition.)
    • Fixed the building UI stars rendering when cooking if the player looked at the roof of the kitchen.
    • Fixed being able to give food to the clients before they reached your counter, deleting the item you had given to them.
    • Fixed all objects relating to minigames staying in the kitchen after going to the build section and then going back to the kitchen.

Once more, thanks to everyone who voted! And thanks to anyone who played my game outside of the gamejam! I hope every single one of you has a great day!!
